What did David Beckham have done to his teeth?

Whether you’re a soccer fan or not, it’s hard to ignore Beckham and his fame.

We’ve seen him change his club and hairstyle (remember the headband!) throughout his time being one of the most famous midfielders in history, but this isn’t all.

His teeth have undergone quite a transformation too.

Today, we’ll be delving into the world of David Beckham’s teeth. Are they naturally as good as his free kicks, or did

Kick-off

When we first saw Beckham hit the pitch in 1993 (playing for Manchester United), he was just 17.

More interested in scoring goals than his looks, Beckham had slight misalignment and discoloration in his teeth - like any teenager really - with a few canines sitting slightly further back than the rest.

Misalignment is a common issue and often down to genetics, but can also be a result of things like overcrowded teeth and thumbsucking as a child.

Advised treatment for this is braces - traditional or clear - which use gentle pressure to move the teeth into a more desirable position.

While there are no photographs of the soccer legend with braces, we can assume he had a course of clear aligners or lingual braces (braces that sit behind the teeth), to correct those pesky teeth.

Half-time

A few questionable haircuts later, David started to become a household name.

To make sure he was looking good next to his fashionista wife Victoria, it looks to us like David had some teeth whitening to take his smile from 0 to 100.

In the early 2000s, his teeth became even more even in shape and tone. By the looks of things, he had composite bonding (also known as dental bonding) to perfect the shape and brighten any dark spots.

This is a minimally invasive and highly effective, offering a naturally enhanced look.

The final whistle

After 21 years of scoring goals, David hung up his boots in 2013, using the time to focus on raising his children and exploring other business ventures.

As a husband and father of three, we can see he’s still the pin-up he’s always been. His pearly white smile keeps him looking youthful, and in the hearts of moms globally.

To maintain his charming gnashers, it looks like he’s had dental veneers fitted for the ultimate Hollywood smile.

Dental veneers are tooth-colored shells that cover the front surface of the tooth. They can be used to disguise a number of dental insecurities, including discoloration, misalignment and chipped teeth.David Beckham Teeth - instasmile
